Our units make your engine more efficient by adding a hydrogen-oxygen gas mix to the air taken in by your engine whether it be petrol, diesel, bio-fuel or LPG. The Hydrogen Generator creates hydrogen and oxygen from water, by electrolysis, using the voltage supplied by the alternator on your engine whilst it is running. As you know, water is H2O which is split by the action of electrolysis which then bubbles out as Hydrogen (H2) and Oxygen (O2) gas. This gas is then fed by a pipe (supplied) into the air intake of your vehicle after the air filter. The water is used very slowly in this process. On average you top up once a week or so. The engine draws the gas in as it needs it along with air. This creates a more powerful and efficient burn in the combustion chamber giving you improved fuel economy and, crucial in todays world, lower emissions and for diesels, reduced black soot. A catalyst is added into the distilled water which is a very small amount of a very cheap powdered chemical (approx £2 or so for about 1 year use), which makes it more efficient in producing hydrogen and oxygen gas. The instruction manual explains it in more detail when you first fill up after installation. Hydrogen Cars Ltd has built these Hydrogen Generators which produce the gases from the water, in an easy to fit and energy efficient all in one system that works with internal combustion engines. The gas is only produced while the engine is running hence no tank for storage of gas is required which saves all that boot space. It will only require topping up with distilled water about once a week or so depending on mileage driven. Our 1.9Tdi diesel test car at a steady 70mph on the motorway gets at least 150 miles extra to a tank and used 200ml (1/3 pint) of water in 800 miles. The 1.3 petrol test car went from average 35mpg to an amazing 53 mpg! It is a simple but amazing technology, designed and assembled in Great Britain by us, for under your bonnet or in the boot (if there is no room under the bonnet). We have been researching the technology for over four years and have found no reports of engine problems. We have experienced no engine running problems at all. These work with the same principal but have a separate water reservoir. These units produce a great deal more gas and can be controlled with a Pulse Width Modulator.
